1
Prerequisite to a Learner's License
5 theory classes · Once per week
Before acquiring your learner’s permit, you must complete one month of theory classes followed by your first SAAQ knowledge test. You must score at least 75% — that’s 18 correct answers out of 24. Upon passing, you’ll receive our first attestation and can proceed to obtain your Learner’s License at the SAAQ. Non-citizens must book a SAAQ appointment before visiting.
2
Guided Driving
2 theory classes · 4 practical classes
Once you have your learner’s permit, you may drive accompanied by a qualified driver. During this phase, your first in-car sessions with our certified instructor help you develop foundational driving habits in real Montreal traffic — from starting and stopping smoothly to reading intersections confidently.
3
Semi-Guided Driving
3 theory classes · 6 practical classes
This phase advances your skills to more complex traffic scenarios. In-car sessions 5 and 10 include self-evaluations to help you and your instructor assess your progress objectively. You’ll take on busier roads, expressways, and increasingly independent manoeuvres with your instructor present but progressively stepping back.
4
Semi-Guided to Independent Driving
2 theory classes · 5 practical classes
The final phase builds full independence. Two hours are dedicated to an observation session, and a comprehensive self-evaluation takes place during in-car session 15. Once all classes are completed, the school issues your final attestation — your key to booking the SAAQ road test. At this stage, you are fully prepared.
